WL Sleigh is one of Scotland's original luxury chauffeur drive companies. We provide chauffeur-driven cars for airport transfers, corporate road shows, financial road shows, Scottish weddings, special occasions, golf tours and tailored sightseeing tours of Edinburgh and Scotland. Through our destination services we also plan and take care of all aspects of personalised tours of Scotland.
Founded by W. Lowrie Sleigh LVO in 1974, his son William has worked for WL Sleigh since 1992 and became Managing Director in 1997.
W L Sleigh Ltd was formed to supply Scotland with a quality chauffeur drive service. The company quickly gained a very high reputation throughout Britain based on the skills, knowledge and friendliness of its staff. Building on this fine reputation the company has gone from strength to strength.
In January 2000 William L Sleigh was extremely honoured to be granted three Royal Warrants as Motor Vehicle Hirer to the Royal Family in Scotland. William now holds two Royal Warrants following the sad death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother in 2002. The Family's First Royal Warrant was awarded to Sir William Lowrie Sleigh in 1921 as Motor Engineers to His Majesty King George V. Other members of the family have also been privileged to be grantees of Royal Warrants.
